Electrum 1.9 Released

bitcoinElectrum has just released the latest version of their lightweight wallet. Electrum operates without the need to download the entire blockchain to your computer or device. Electrum is an easy to use Bitcoin client. It protects you from losing coins in a backup mistake or computer failure, because your wallet can be recovered from a secret phrase that you can write on paper or learn by heart. There is no waiting time when you start the client, because it does not download the Bitcoin blockchain.

Here is the changelog:
# Release 1.9
* The client connects to multiple servers in order to retrieve block headers and find the longest chain
* SSL certificate validation (to prevent MITM)

* Menu to create/restore/open wallets
* Create transactions with multiple outputs from CSV (comma separated values)
* New text gui: stdio
* Plugins are no longer tied to the qt GUI, they can reach all GUIs
